About as tough as a balloon

Bought these tyres for my Wrangler, 285/70/17. 6 months in I have noticed a 30mm cut/split on the side wall exposing the chord underneath. There is no more than 2mm of rubber on the side wall making the tyre very vulnerable to damage, even from kerb stones, let alone mild off-road. Grip is average in the wet and I feel like I’m driving on balloons. Wish I’d bought some KO2s instead.

I keep up rotations and pressure checks but like most BF Goodrich tyres, they need rebalancing regularly. On wet bitumen roads there is reduced traction but never to the point of dangerous or uncontrollable. These tyres have travelled across country NSW, Victoria and South Australia twice in the past year and show no signs of chipping or tread damage. Have never been punctured.

Had these on my x trail for over a year now. Excellent grip in all weathers and damn good off road!

Hardness and long

BFGOODRICH TRIAL-TERRAIN T/A tyre is however amazing on surface roads but it does better even off roads hard enough to last long.

Perfect for off road

Using these tyres keeps my Isuzu quite inside on the long haul tar stretches before hitting the dirt roads. Wet weather performance on tar is very good and no sidewall damage on nasty dirt roads.

Excellent Off road use

Happy with purchase

Bought 4 of these tyres knowing that I’ll be more on road than off. First time BFGoodrich owner. Happy so far but they not designed for heavy Offroad. A bit soft on side walls but driven carefully they will get you through most situations. Quiet on the road surprisingly and happy with grip. A bit more pricier than other AT tyres and would love a 5th for a spare wheel.

Trail Terrain T/A - Outstanding Performance

I can confidently say that the BF Goodrich Trail Terrain T/A has exceeded my expectations. I have driven over 20,000 miles on these tires, and they are still performing like new. The 60,000-mile limited treadwear warranty is a testament to their durability and reliability. Tough, durable, reliable. Excellent traction. Highly recommend for all terrains.
