Very comfortable and quiet mid-priced touring tyre
I purchased these based upon research that suggested they would be biased more towards ride comfort than outright handling and tractive capabilities. The tyres have certainly delivered nicely on the comfort front however I was also surprised at how quiet they are compared to my previous two sets of tyres (I was not expecting any difference). As for handling, there is a very small compromise in terms of very slightly more understeer on high speed curves however most drivers would likely not even notice this - and as mentioned the payoff is the better ride comfort. But conversely, the previous two sets of tyres would produce bump oversteer on the rear axle when both wheels were traversing over the very same (significant) bump simultaneously. Whilst this may be inherent to some degree with (the very common these days) torsion bean rear ends, I no longer notice this annoying issue with these tyres. All in all I would happily buy again if I was looking in the mid-tier price range for a touring car tyre. Keep in mind however that this review is for the Australian version of the Advantage tyre and from what I understand, compared to the UK / European version, the Australian version has one extra ply in the sidewall (so two plies instead of one).
