1870 Dr. Benjamin Franklin Goodrich established BFGoodrich Tires in Akron, Ohio as the first rubber company in America.
1910 BFGoodrich Tires introduces carbon black into rubber compounds to improve abrasion resisdance and add tread life. Overnight tyre colour changes from white to black.
1947 BFGoodrich Tires revolutionised the tyre industry by inventing the first tubeless tyre.
1976 World's first light truck performance radial tyre, BFGoodrich Radial All-Terrain T/A®™.
1977 First test flight of NASA Space Shuttle on BFGoodrich Tires.
1980 First light truck radial mud tyre, BFGoodrich Radial Mud-Terrain T/A®™.
MOTORSPORT HERITAGE
1972 BFGoodrich Tires had the first street tyres to qualify on GT pole in 24 Hours of Le Mans.
1988 First American tyres selected as origional equipment on Porsche (BFGoodrich Comp T/A).
1995 First radial DOT-approved drag racing tyre, BFGoodrich Comp T/A® Drag Radial.
1998 BFGoodrich Tires becomes the official tyre sponsor of the SCCA Trans-Am Series with the introduction of the BFGoodrich g-Force T/A® race tyre.
2002 BFGoodrich Tires achieves 17th consecutive Baja 1000 win, and with record breaking lap times dominated the Series 300 JGTC in tis debut season.

BFGoodrich Tires achieves 5th 4x4 Rally Raid win.
2003 BFGoodrich Tires achieves 4 Paris-Dakar win.
2004 BFGoodrich Tires achieves 20th consecutive Baja 1000 win, and 5th Paris-Dakar title.
2005 BFGoodrich Tires achieves 7th Paris-Dakar win.
